Export any of your presets as a .cargus file and import tones from other guitarists.

How to set up

  1. 1Install your interface driver (from the maker's website).
  2. 2Set the interface to 48 kHz (Windows Sound > Properties > Advanced).
  3. 3Open the app, start the 2-day trial and pick the interface in Settings > Audio.
  4. 4If you hear clicks, use Stable mode in Settings > Audio.

How to set up

  1. 1Open the .dmg and drag the app to Applications.
  2. 2The first time: System Settings > Privacy & Security > "Open Anyway".
  3. 3Allow the microphone (that is how the Mac delivers the interface sound).

Mac and iPad

CARGUS Guitar PRO on Mac

Available for Mac

Download, install and activate with your PRO serial. It takes 2 minutes, and the security warning only shows the first time.

Mac with Apple chip (M1 or newer) and a class-compliant USB audio interface (for example Behringer UMC202HD or CUVAVE). Intel Macs have not been tested yet. Expression pedal and MIDI footswitches do not work on Mac yet.

iPad and iPhone: coming soon

How to install on Mac

  1. 1Download the CARGUS Guitar PRO file for Mac (.dmg) and double-click it.
  2. 2Drag the CARGUS Guitar PRO icon into the Applications folder.
  3. 3Open the app from the Applications folder. The first time, the Mac shows a security warning and does not open it: click OK.
  4. 4Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom and click "Open Anyway". Confirm with your Mac password. The button stays visible for about 1 hour after you tried to open the app.
  5. 5When the app asks for microphone access, click Allow. That is how it receives your guitar through the interface.
  6. 6Enter your PRO serial and pick your interface in Settings > Audio (Mac). Ready to play.

Why does this warning appear?

macOS shows this warning for every program downloaded outside the App Store that has not yet gone through Apple's paid verification. CARGUS is made by an independent musician and the file is the same one we tested. You allow it once and you are done.

Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities), paste the command below, press Enter and open the app again:
